Alex Mill is one of my go-to brands for basics, and when it comes to fall layers, I think this work jacket is the platonic ideal of a chore coat: It fits slightly larger than a shirt (but doesn’t have the bulk of an insulated jacket), is cut from thick yet soft denim, and has a hem that hits just below the waist.
