A fire at an abandoned mill in Co Armagh is believed to have been “deliberate ignition,” the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) has said.
NIFRS attended a large fire at Sintons Mill, just off the Glebe Hill Manor area of Tandragee on Wednesday evening.
A ‘significant number of fire appliances’ were deployed to the Co Armagh village to tackle the blaze which broke at the abandoned mill.
A spokesperson for NIFRS said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a derelict building in Glebe Hill Manor, Tandragee. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using four jets and one hose reel.
"The cause of the fire is believed to have been deliberate ignition and the incident was dealt with by 12.34am.”
