RENVILLE, Minn. (KFGO/KWLM) – Two men were hurt Friday morning when scaffolding fell inside a large storage tank at the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative plant near Renville. The Renville County Sheriff’s Department says they got a call around 6:30 a.m. Friday for two people that had fallen from scaffolding inside a storage tank at the Co-op, 2 miles northeast of Renville.
22-year-old Chance Anderson from Adams, and 30-year-old Tedrick Coleman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana were working while on top of the scaffolding when coworkers tried to reposition the scaffolding. It tipped over, and the two fell about 40 feet to the ground.
Both men were flown by Life Link III to St. Cloud Hospital.
